Most things require a connection (the AI parts especially). Your inventory and saved recipes are cached locally so you can browse them offline.

The app is free to download on iOS and Android. Non-AI features — pantry inventory, fridge inventory, smart grocery list, manual meal logging, and manual calorie + macro tracking — are free. AI features (AI meal planning, AI recipe generation, ingredient-based meal generation, and the Nia AI nutrition assistant) are part of Dietrack Pro, available as a monthly or yearly subscription.

Is there a free trial of Dietrack Pro?

Yes. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial — one time per account, applies to either the monthly or yearly plan. Cancel before day 8 in your App Store / Google Play subscription settings and you won't be charged. After the trial, the plan you picked starts billing automatically.

How accurate are the calorie estimates?

Estimated, not exact. Real foods vary by brand, cut, and how you cook them. AI estimates from photos and text are typically within ±15–25% of an exact log. That's good enough to coach by — to spot trends and steer toward a goal — but not good enough to base medical decisions on. Always sense-check important figures.

How accurate are the AI-generated recipes?

The recipes are starting points. We don't claim chef-grade authenticity. If you cook one and it needs more salt or a longer bake, your edits stay with the recipe.

Dietrack respects allergen rules you set in your profile (no nuts, dairy-free, gluten-free, etc.). We deliberately don't claim coverage of every medical-grade allergen — always cross-check the ingredient list against the source product before eating.

Does Dietrack replace a dietitian, nutritionist, or doctor?

No. Dietrack is a planning + tracking tool, not medical advice. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, are managing an eating disorder, or have any other health concern, talk to a qualified professional and use Dietrack to act on their plan, not to replace it.

What data does Dietrack collect?

The data needed to run the app: your meals, your inventory, your goals, your weights (if you log them), your saved recipes, and standard analytics about how the app is used. Full detail in our privacy policy.

Do you sell my data to third parties?

No. We don't sell your data to advertisers or data brokers. We use sub-processors (e.g. cloud hosting, analytics) to run the service; they're listed in the privacy policy and are bound by data-processing agreements.

Yes. Data in transit uses TLS; data at rest is encrypted by our cloud provider.

Yes — there's a one-tap export inside the app (Account → Export my data). The export is a ZIP of JSON files. If you can't find it, email support@dietrack.app.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Inside the app: Account → Delete account. Or via the web at /delete-account. Account deletion is permanent and removes your data within 30 days.

Yes — both apps are available on the App Store and Google Play in most countries. The app's UI is currently in English; more languages are on the roadmap.

I lost my data after switching phones — can it be recovered?

If you signed in to your account on the new phone, your data should restore automatically. If it didn't, email support@dietrack.app with the dates of last use and we'll investigate.

This site is the marketing + content side. The product itself is mobile-only at the moment. A web version is on the roadmap but not committed.

Where does Dietrack store its data?

In our cloud provider's EU and US regions. Your account data is replicated for durability and is recoverable from backups for 30 days after account deletion (after which it's permanently purged).
