The app is free to download on iOS and Android. Manual kitchen inventory, barcode add, the shopping list, and manual meal logging stay free. Photo scans, AI Ideas, and Nia chat are Dietrack Pro after a short first-use allowance.

Is there a free trial of Dietrack Pro?

Yes. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial, one time per account, on either the monthly or yearly plan. Cancel before day 8 in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings and you will not be charged. After the trial, the plan you picked starts billing automatically.

Estimated, not exact. Labels are already estimates; logging adds portion error; photo tools can miss mixed dishes. Not good enough to base medical decisions on. Always sense-check important figures.

The recipes are starting points, not chef-grade authenticity. If you cook one and it needs more salt or a longer bake, your edits stay with the recipe.

Dietrack respects allergen rules you set in your profile (no nuts, dairy-free, gluten-free, and similar). It does not claim coverage of every medical-grade allergen. Always cross-check the ingredient list against the source product before eating.

Does Dietrack replace a dietitian, nutritionist, or doctor?

No. Dietrack is a planning + tracking tool, not medical advice. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, are managing an eating disorder, or have any other health concern, talk to a qualified professional and use Dietrack to act on their plan, not to replace it.

No. Ideas suggests a day of meals, not a week-grid calendar. About three successful refreshes per day.

No. You add missing ingredients, low-stock items, or type. No aisle map, prices, or sharing.

No. Dietrack does not sell data to advertisers or data brokers. Sub-processors (cloud hosting, analytics) run the service; they are listed in the privacy policy and bound by data-processing agreements.

Yes. Data in transit uses TLS. Data at rest is encrypted by the cloud provider.

Optionally. Connect Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android from Profile → Health connections. Dietrack reads steps, active calories, workouts, and weight. It does not write data back, and it does not automatically change your calorie or macro targets. Kitchen, logging, and ideas still work if you never connect.

In the cloud provider's EU and US regions. Account data is replicated for durability and is recoverable from backups for 30 days after account deletion, then permanently purged.
